editing multiple clips

Is it possible to load a bunch of clips in RC and then set ins and outs for each clip to trim for export? I see if you go into range and set ins and outs it trims the clip but when you go back to the main time line the whole clip is still there.

The solution was to go to...I'm not in front of my computer but its on the right side of the timeline. A little button there isolates the clip and then there is a start point and end point on the left side of the timeline which you can drag to change the values. A long version of in and out points. I find guessing a numeric value gets me close and then I drag to tweak. Then you click the other button next to where the last was on the right and it brings you back to the full time line with the clip edited. I wish just selecting ins and outs did the same thing but it seems not to.
