  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Edit in 1080p FCP7, export 4K in FCX?

This may be an extremely basic question, but is there a way to edit proxies at 1080p in FCP7, then import that and change everything to 4K (reconnect it all) in FCX? I hate trying to work around some of the nuances of FCX for now.
 
I'd imagine you could cut your film in FCP7 export an xml, import into RedCineX, export an FCPX-XML, import that into FCP-X.

You'll need to simplify your timeline at points to deal with the limitations of doing the conform, but it should work.
