Here's an inside look at my edit bay/movie theater setup. Obviously, most of the time spent in here is spent watching movies, but when I edit, this is how my setup works. Pretty inexpensive too! Let me know if you have any questions.

Chris, that BenQ W1070 seems to get good reviews, especially given the cost $699. Did you have someone calibrate it for you or did you do calibration yourself? It seems that projection setup including projector, screen and wireless comes in under $4K (if you are using the Ghost 150M). Not bad. Did you already have the wireless or was that bought for this purpose?

Yea, it's a great projector. It's pretty darn close in terms of calibration out of the box, so I didn't do really anything to the color settings since I don't do a lot of color work. Best bang for the buck. I've had the ghost eye for my DP/operator work for a while now, and rather than running a long active HDMI cable, I just incorporated the 150M into this setup and walla, no need for that long cable. The silver ticket screen beats a lot of several thousand dollar screens too, and for around $350, can't beat it either! If toure gonna go for a setup like this, paint your walls with a matte/flat black paint, makes all the difference in the world.

Are you able to mount both computers to your raid? I've had issues with that in the past... Also, are you doing any tethering between your Macbook pro and your iMac? Curious how your passing files back and forth. I'd like to figure out a better solution for my iMac/MacPro/Macbook Pro/Raid..

Thanks in advance and nice looking set up..

I'm not tethering them..just uses my MBPr for internet, mail, etc at the moment. Every file is stored on my raid and backed up.
