Have just come across a problem of all the dpx files exported from Redcine or Scratch only taking the edgecode across. Can't get them to output TOD code even though it is visible in the shots properties!

Monkey can fix the problem but it changes the gamma & colour and also doesn't handle speed-ramps at all.

Have read a few threads that may point to the priority being set on the camera to edgecode and that this locks the final export settings.... Any ideas or solutions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi peeco, Monkey Extract doesn't change the color and gamma - are you using the latest version?

Hi Nigel,

We are running 1.312 and have done difference matte comparisons using the metadata of the shot and using the REDSpace settings. Comparisons have been done on REDCINE, Scratch & Monkey Extract all using the same settings. We have found that REDCINE & Scratch outputs are the same but there is a noticable difference when output via Monkey (shift in gamma). We have been using Flame for all our comparison tests.

Timecode issues have now been fixed by removing all timewarps from the edl.

Hmmm. Can you send me a screenshot of your settings page? nigel - rubbermonkey.co.nz
