Edge Assist over HDMI while Red Touch 5.0 stays normal?

This might be obvious somewhere but I can't figure out if it's possible.

Can I use my HDMI output and keep that in perpetual Edge Assist mode, while the Red Touch 5.0 screen stays in "normal" mode?

You can do it in firmware 4 and later by disabling "tools" for the red touch
