I've been looking for an affordable slider with some possible automation/motion control features and I stumbled upon the newly released Edelkrone SliderPlus Pro.
The SliderPlus V2 for DSLRs have been getting good reviews, but I wanted to hear if anyone has had the chance to try out the SliderPlus Pro and if it is capable of the Epic or the Scarlet, with not too much extra equipment?

The possibility with the 3 extra modules on the SliderPlus makes it very attractive, but I haven't seen any reviews of it.

Any other sliders out there anyone would recommend at a similar price point?

I am also interested. Had my hand on the trigger for a few weeks now. In the past, I have bought a boat load of Kessler stuff and I can say the build quality is top shelf. Product loyalty aside... Edelkrone's innovations look pretty amazing. I have to do a lot of run & gun work and carrying a smaller slider that delivers the same amount of performance is pretty sweet. The motion units seem super easy to use as well. Would love to hear someones first hand experiences.

Perhaps no one has picked it up. Is there a reason I have missed that makes it unwantable haha?
Otherwise I might just pick one up and share my experiences afterwards, someone has to ;)

I used to own one. Have several Edelkrone products.

For my purposes, it was to heavy. Also, the bearings were prone to rust and sensitive to dust. The idea is great, perhaps its better suited for your purposes.

I have one. Motors/modules coming next week. Its pretty tasty. Check the front page of productionmeeting.com for a video. The next generation is even cooler...shooting tonight and tomw but can post some stuff thursday if anyone is dying to see something...

I hope the Action Module is included as an option! And, if so, it would be nice if they would work on firmware that is able to trigger Epic/Scarlet. Just a thought... :-)
