Hiya
Has anyone tried this slider?
SliderONE Pro

Supposedly it can handle about 8kg weight and shoudl work with a Red camera.
What I like with it is:
- should work for Macro slides and time lapses
- interface looks good
- extremely light at only 1kg
- cheap

I would use it for mainly detail slides and macro but also for some portable timelapse setup. Probably with the tilt head.

We have the longer trost slider, but it is a bit heavy heavy and big to bring outside.

Hi Andreas

I have it and I use it quite often.
Usually with the Panasonic GH5, not so much with my RED.
Although it can handle up to 8kg I'd say that only works for left-right traveling.
It's no problem to do diagonal moves or even vertical ones with the GH5.
But with a RED I'd say left-right moves only.
You can of course tilt the RED with something like a ballhead, but you should be very careful about centering the camera very accurately.

Hope that helps.

Hiya Peter, yes on the webpage they say for up and down movement it only supports around 2.5kg or so which rules out the Red.
Is the movement smooth with the Red?
Would be good to use it for macro shots out in the wild. But yea the tripod head is going to be a bit tricky. I have a leveling base that could work for making some basic rotations and leveling without offsetting balance too much. Have you used their motorized pan head?

Acratech leveling base
