Own a piece of history. Not only is our RED ONE MX in perfect working condition, but it's early serial # will be a valuable collectors item in the future. #40 has been battle tested around the world, shot hundreds of celebrities, films, and commercials. I was there on the first RED Day in August of 2007 and believe me, these early cameras received special attention. This camera has been executed and will be available for delivery upon delivery of our Epic-X which has already been fully paid for and is awaiting delivery.

I'm confused. I thought Red made it clear that this kind of deal was not in keeping with the spirit of the original Red offer and that they did not approve of it. Do I have this wrong?

You have it wrong. Red did not approve of people selling their RED ONE prior to receiving their EPIC X. We have paid for our EPIC X and are awaiting delivery. We will not sell the RED ONE until we have received our EPIC X but that should be very shortly now. We are advertising now to get the ball rolling as I expect there may be a bit of back and forth with any potential buyers.

But I thought the whole intent and spirit of the Stage Two deal was to allow early owners to keep their Red Ones and get an early place and a discount on the purchase of the Epic X.

Hey Rob, this is not the thread for discussing this. RED had an issue with owners selling their RED ONE's prior to receiving the EPIC-X. We are not selling or leasing anything until we have fully executed our EPIC X order and received delivery. Our EPIC X has already been paid for and we are awaiting delivery. Moreover, my company has been one of the earliest RED supporters, we fully support the spirit of the deal RED has offered. Believe me, it was not an easy decision to part with this camera and whoever buys it will surely be lucky to own such a significant piece of cinema history.

I remember that show fondly Brian. My mouth literally hurt from the droves and droves of people that were interested in hearing and seeing the "RED."

Emery's RED ONE #40 was THE first RED I ever saw in person.
I believe it was at a late 2007 trade show located at Steiner Studios in Brooklyn.

That camera does indeed deserve a good home.
