Hi There, I have this issue on my Helium 8K E-W, Where there is a thin vertical line present on playback on my 7" Red Touch monitor. I am on FW version 7.4.1. I have seen a couple of people post about this years ago, but the classic case of reduser where there isn't an answer.

It is not present in Resolve or Red Cine X, or in live view so I'm just a lil scared if it's sensor dmg, (although it hasn't been near any lasers)

I've attached a couple stills from my phone, one with focus mode, and the other in edge mode where you can see it a lot clearer.

Please someone help! :(

The usual answer is if it's not in the recorded footage, it's just the monitor or the monitor cable, with the more remote possibility that there's a damaged connector on the camera or some internal monitor output component.

The fact that it's not in your footage, or your live view either, would point again to the probability of it being a cable or connector issue.

If the line is constant and is there regardless of the cable used, and especially if it's there when attached to another camera, it would narrow it down to a fault with the monitor itself, either at the connection point or internally.

So, it's a process of elimination.

Would add too that pretty much all cameras and monitors can just straight up glitch from time to time in really weird seemingly random ways, so don't be surprised if and when it does happen.

The important thing is it's not being recorded in your images.
