I'm curious.

We own a couple of Red Bricks and number of Pags (about to buy more)

But we also own a few Dynacore batteries with the charger built in, these are V mount and were bought with the primary purpose of powering some lights (LED) and other accessories like Small LCD Monitors.

The question, could these Dynacore Batteries be used safely on our Epics and Scarletts ? I'm pretty fussy about this sort of thing, that's why we haven't even tried these V locks on any of our cameras.

Is anyone using these on a regular basis as the main power source for their cameras? I imagine we wouldn't get the percentage readout, but they have an LED charge indicator built in.

Thanks to all in advance.

I've run AXORTEC batteries for 2 years now, which are rebranded DynaCore without issue so far. That's all I can offer as I'm pretty clueless when it comes to the minutia of power.

Wait, I'm sorry...I take it back, I used them for tow years and now they don't hold a charge lol. Pretty big thing to bring up.

It was very sudden, too. Like...one day fine, next day...won't charge my camera.

To be fair, it JUST happened...almost 2 and a half years after of pretty strenuous use with a terrible charging system (PTAP charger).

I have both the 220wh and now the 260wh Dynacore batts and must say that they are the bomb. You will not be disappointed.

Thanks Troy, Lee and Brandon.

i didn't expect positive responses in regards to using the Dynacores as Red camera batteries.

I'll give them a try.

have been using the 150Wh dynacore batteries with the internal chargers for the last 2 years with my Scarlet and now moved onto the Epic and have had no problems

Yes it is safe to use them. They are the best bang for bucks. Lightweight and powerful.
As with other batteries after two years of intensive use, it's normal they are not charging fully.

My redbricks do the same, even with a 2000$ sony as main charger. 1h20 instead of 2h20. Dynacore will do the same I guess.
