I am looking for a DVD solution for dailies.

Wondering if anyone has any software suggestions for this.

Currently if I have an Avid Dailies job I am doing double syncing after the Rocket has generated QTs for me. Once in Avid for the actual dailies and once in FCP to then export FCP QTS to put into a Compressor Droplet to then go into DVD Studio Pro, to then create and burn a disk to be duplicated.
This can add a lot of time to a job if there is 3-4 hours of media.

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions I would love to hear it!

Thanks in advance,

1. Render with all available cores, by setting up Qmaster to use 'all instances'.
2. Compressor 3.5 can create a simple DVD directly within the app. No further authoring in DVDSP required if that's all you want.

I hope this is what you're looking for.

Thanks for the reply.
Just ran a test through Compressor checking that feature out. I am not sure how you would batch multiple files to have them chaptered on the disk? maybe I was doing it wrong.
- Open Compressor
- Choose New Batch From Template. Choose DVD
- Drag clip into the setting. Although it would only take 1 clip. not multiple?

Either way I think that for the extra 1/2 hour to hour that would be spent in DVD SP, it would be worth it considering you would be able to make a specific looking and functioning dvd per job.

I guess what I am wondering if there is any unit out there that could take R3D files, sync via tc from .wav files. Let you maybe put a Jpeg logo into the menu and then spit out how ever many DVDs you would like.

Cheers,
