  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Anybody tried this? Looking for a tilt/swivel monitor mount to replace the garbage one that comes with the monitor. I really don't want to add the extra size and weight, but this one seems to be the best I can find with both tilt and panning ... and the anti-twist.

It’ll be lighter than a Noga arm. I say give it a shot. You can always return it. The arm that comes with the monitor is so bad that my screen protector cracked after the monitor fell and smashed on the handle. It was sooooo tight too. It really is the worst monitor support I’ve ever seen haha.

I put my monitor on an arm and it’s been fine, but yeah. Anyone who is reading this and wondering - do yourself a favor and replace it with anything - literally anything is better- and you’ll be just fine. You’ll just need to spend the extra $100 on a longer cable

Is there anyway to use a different mount and keep the wireless connection or is it essentially all one piece? I don’t want to add a longer cable to connect the display but this mount sounds really bad

The “wireless connection” isn’t wireless. You’ve got to run a cable to the monitor no matter what you do, so you might as well customize your rig to make it more functional.

clarifying, there’s no way to plug the monitor into anything else besides the “attach trigger” plate usb-c that the bracket attaches to, correct? So if you use another mounting option you have to still mount the that plate, remove the arm and feed the usb-c cable into the same port.
Another mounting option for those that run the top handle regularly would be to use the 3/8 on the front of the handle to mount something like that Ikan swivel holder. It be nice if the nato rail had pins to match up to the front of the handle on each side of the 3/8 hole to keep it secure OR if there is a holder that attaches directly onto handle without a nato plate at all.

on another note, there’s got to be a way to modify the thumb wheel to make it larger like the wheel on a smallrig or that ikan

I’m coming from DSCM1 and that 5” monitor/mount has been bullet proof for 6 years. This thing seems like a toy in comparison. Sad
