  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

DSMC3 RED touch 7 inch - no video

Hey guys,

Currently on a shoot and our RED touch 7 inch monitor cut video feed while connected to the camera and between takes. We have now got no video. All other functions function as they should, camera control etc see the attached image.
anyone have any clue what might be going on here? It was extremely hot, could something have melted / fried that is rwlated to the video feed from camera to monitor?
have tried a different cable. Rebooted camera multiple times bviously but nothing seems to be working. Have not teied any favtory resets yet.

i had this happen twice with 2 separate DSMC 7" monitors. one purchased in spring 2022, a backup i purchased in summer 2022 (i was not traveling with the original screen's replacement)... both were sent in and replaced immediately with brand new units, by Red.

it hasn't happened since on either of the monitors i have now, knock on wood.

Hello, I have the same problem, how did you solve it? All functions work on my monitor, but there is no video image

Where did you have to send it off too bc I’m searching for more info on how to get mines repaired ?
