I just put the DSMC2 V-Lock battery module on my epic-W and powered it the first time.
Battery shows voltage only. No percentage nor time.

Any advice on what the issue could be? Camera is on the latest firmware. I haven't tried reinstalling it yet.

there is a setting to change that, it might be under the power settings, but I think it is in a menu next to options for lens feedback

I could not find any settings to change it. My experience with Epic (DSMC1) is that it shows percentage instead of volts. And you can select time instead of %.
It only shows voltage when battery with no communication protocol are attached.

its deep in there, when I get home I will post, did you do the latest firmware update?

I am using a RED brick, as for the title of the thread...:)

Basically it is all RED stuff, camera, v-lock module, and battery. And yet it shows no percentage.

Ps I also reinstalled firmware. No changes.

Sorry, didn't see that. It should just show up, normally yes there is either time or percentage setting to choose which one it displays, but it sounds like its just not reading it at all. Can you try another battery to see if its the the brick and not the module?

Btw, Steve when external power like the battery belt is used it will still show percentage and time still (with the proper battery). With AC power it will show voltage only of course..
yeah I got mixed up after reading the topic then your post, I have been sitting with the epic w for a couple hours everynight on AC, I get like 14.? voltage I think when plug into wall, even with battery it takes over, just like my pixe5h. I know where the setting is to help Al I just gotta get home and get camera in my hands, it took me a while to find also, using hypercores

menu>settings>display>modes>camera then it is under power you can select time or percentage, see if they are both greyed out for some reason, but that is where the setting to change to % or time is

sorry if this is not what you are looking for

Steve

Hey Steve, thanks for your help. But it is not that setting. No matter what I pick, it only shows voltage.
When I click on the voltage at bottom of screen, and gives me all the power info, it shows Volts, N/A for time (greyed out) and Amps.

hmmm, I am using the v lock io I wonder if there is a difference in functionality?

Steve

Yup swap out when it gets low on voltage, isn't there less on the side also of the bricks. First time I was out an hour after getting my epic all I had was 2 borrowed bricks, think I used the leds, if they exist
