DSMC2 ProRes > R3D replacement workflow?

Hi all,

I've either edited completely in prores and delivered those files or edited in R3D. i just cut together something where the client now wants higher res than 1080 (and yes...probably should have just worked with the R3D!) so can I replace the files in the timeline with their respective R3Ds? Is this something thats possible or no? I'd prefer to not have to recut the project.

Nevermind, ignore! FCPX recognizes the r3d file for replacement even though the extension is different.

I would love to know more about your workflow with FCPX, there isn't much information out there on the topic.
