I'm trying to plan out my display options for my scarlet-w that is on order. I have always loved using an evf and I wanted to get any input from users who have experience with either of these two. I am trying to decide between the Red DSMC2 EVF and the Zacuto gratical. I like the idea of being able to use the gratical on other cameras. But I also like the cable free setup of RED EVF and not needing another battery. The red evf has a better resolution but I haven't looked through either of them so I don't have a reference whether this is actually a big improvement in image quality or not.

I'd love to hear opinions of people who have used one or both of these. Thanks.

I have the Gratical X and Gratical Eye. The Gratical Eye only does SDI and will be using this with my Scarlet. I am powering it via the cable they are including with it, so I don't have to deal with batteries, kind of a pain with the Gratical X. Perhaps not as elegant as the DSMC2 with no cables, but much cheaper and I figured the amount of times I could actually use it without cables would only be some of the time. Often I need to adjust the eyepiece depending what I am shooting. I find I can get accurate focus with the Gratical, so it is good enough for me.

The new dsmc2 evf is a fantastic image
