DSMC2 Base I/O V-Lock Expander phantom power

Hi all, I am looking into getting the new scarlet-w and have been searching around a little bit and cant seem to find the answer. if i purchase the I/O V-Lock expander with the red xlr mic cable, will my rode xlr mic be able to capture audio through phantom power or will i have to buy a mic that powers itself? thanks

The Base I/O doesn't offer phantom power. You would need a powered mic.
