Hey all, got a Scarlet MX the other day as a backup camera on a good deal, always used DSMC2 mini mag station with my Mac and was fine.

This of course hasn't got usb C etc, it has ESATA and firewire 800 (mooooo) and mini USB.

Red make a ESATA to ESATA cable that I can get, but does anyone know a good way of getting that into ideally a USB C port, can't find any adapters on line.

Or the best transfer method of the old DSMC1 1.8 stations.

Cheers
Lewis

Are you saying there are no eSata to USB-C cables/adapters? That seems odd.

In either case, it might be cheaper/easier to buy a USB3 1.8" reader (presuming you already have a USB3-to-USB-c already). They shouldn't be too expensive and they essentially max out the offload speed of the 1.8" mags (~200mb/s).

Also, you might find a DSMC1 Mini-Mag Side Module cheap... Granted there is zero benefits to mini-mags on Scarlet-X, except that you'll be using the same media across cameras.
