DSMC1 internal lens remote focus control

Does anyone have experience using a focus remote that’s directly connected to the internal focus control on canon lenses?

I’m using a DSMC1 Dragon 6K and I want to control focus with a thumbwheel when using a movi, but without having to hook my lenses up to a motor, because I do switch lenses a lot. It’s very annoying/time consuming to balance the whole gimbal every time I line up the motor on a different lens.

I was wondering what the best options are and what I need to accomplish something like this.

creative solution (offhollywood) had a device to connect the Red app on DSMC1, but I'm pretty sure you won't find it anymore.
Only dsmc 2 had internal focus control with Rtmotion latitude (Teradek owns it now). That's all. It was fantastic btw, I don't understand why it didn't follow on DSMC3.

This was something i wish we saw on DSMC3 - It would be really nice to have when filming on my own.
