I've used sliders a couple times now and I'm kinda falling in love with them. Don't get me wrong... There's nothing like riding a Fischer or Chapman Dolly but the time it takes to setup and tear down and the rental cost is a killer for some of the shoots I do.

I've only used the Cinevate 36" slider and it's pretty solid but I'm looking for recommendations of other sliders. I know there are a lot of little camera support companies popping up making these.

I'm looking for sliders that:

- are at least 3 feet but preferably 4'-6'
- extendable
- can be mounted with a single tripod in the middle or on either end
- quick setup
- lightweight but rugged

Let me know what you guys think,

Carl

Hey Carl, I know you said you are looking for a slider with a single tripod but I just purchased the Dana Dolly and I must say i'm very impressed. Very rugged, very easy to set-up and best of all you can cut the pipe to whatever size you like. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Thanks!

Looks great, I'll definitely check it out.
