Just to spread the word. I received an email from RED a minute ago to let me know that I qualified for a free upgrade to the latch component inside my DSMC side handle. Good news as this had been a slight issue that required a touch of DIY so was happy to get the email. Nice to know Red are happy and willing to look into and offer free fixes to problems such as this. Satisfied customer : )

Yeah, I got my notice a few days ago - awesome because that latch was driving me crazy, but I didn't want to send the side handle in for it to be fixed like others had... I'm guessing everyone is gonna opt for installing it themselves? (RED will do it free if you pay shipping)

FYI…I got my side handle upgrade package yesterday. Installed it in about 30 seconds. Couldn't be easier and it works like a charm. Thanks to RED for getting it fixed!

I got my kit last week. My side handle has been holding in the Redvolts fine, so I'm trying to decide if I should leave well enough alone for now, and wait to see if it becomes a problem. Or should I go ahead and change it?

Got ours, we were able do the upgrade in seconds. We shot all day, switching out REDvolts, no problems. Thanks RED!!

I would go ahead and change it. Ours was working fine for the most part but I figured its better to take care of it now instead of waiting until it becomes a problem. It appears the main change is a thicker piece of spring steel that pushes the tab down.
