Is anyone else having issues with their DSMC Modular Assault Plate not fitting flush on Weapon? I just upgraded from Epic and figured it'd fit properly, but no dice. RED.com lists Weapon 8k as a compatible fit. It works by all means, but I expected it to fit properly. The screws on plate don't allow for fine adjustments so I can't slide it forward to where it's not bumping into the camera body.

Thanks for the heads up guys. I wasn't able to find the original thread. I'll probably do the mod myself or find a local machine shop and save the 10-15 business days it'd be gone.

I don't think they shave it, they just send you a new one...at least that's what they did for me.

This happened to us as well and was an annoyance since we are now international on a shoot. It's pretty annoying, I wish my Rep would have called it out when we ordered. I actually checked the store listing when I bought our Epic-W, so didn't order a new plate. Anyway, we'll probably just give one Plate a shave as we won't be stateside for a few more months.

I ended up borrowing a neighbor's Dremel tool to grind down the edge. Made a *bit* of a mess on one of the sides, but not enough to regret not sending it back to RED for 2-3 weeks. The plate now fits nice and snug with my Weapon.
