  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

DSMC EPIC / SCARLET Release build 5.1.48 and Beta 5.2.11

Can you currently move around the 1:1 magnification box (if so, how? I must have missed it). If not, please implement it!

Note at the moment we can move the 1:1 region around, but we can't zoom right to the edges. Still useful though!

Ran TC, from Zaxcom ERX into Dragon, with 5.1.48 and no joy with 23.98-OTOH, 25 goes in fine (at all three, output voltage options) Same as previous Dragon builds. This has been due to Dragon hardware changes, per RED tech.

Thank you very much

Fury

installed build 5.1.48, my display still scrambles when I toggle between magnifications. I thought this was fixed.

Same here.

The 5.1.48 note refers to a video stutter which occurred when toggling into/out of magnify.

The 'scramble' is gone in the beta release.

This is only a limitation on the smaller displays. You can go view the entire image when viewing at 1080p.

Noted by our firmware team and will be resolved : )

Hi Brent,
Love these quick responses at our questions here on the forum!
I wonder if there will be AF support too for the 80-200 in a future build. The 17-35 works awesome in this last build!!
Great work.

I noticed that when using Canon L primes to rack focus, that if you toggle between the rack points several times using mapped keys, the focus will suddenly 'jump' and miss the focus point it's supposed to hit. Almost like the focus ring has been knocked, because every focus point is then out by the same amount. I had this problem on the last release build so I upgraded to this one and the same problem occurs. Is this just to be expected? I've had it on a few L primes.

That AE stuff is a really cool addition. Thanks RED. I just wonder, does it make usage of the ND in a MotionMount? So if i have a MM and lock shutter and iris in the AE-assistant will the AE use the ND to compensate? And secondly, will RCX be able to automatically compensate the brightness-shifts? That would make this automatic exposure compensation more usable for motion.

I would also like to be able to set minimum and maximum values for shutter and iris, i want to give the camera some room there, but not full freedom.
