Hi, fellow REDuser!

I'm about to order my first RED accessories and thinking about to configure the camera as compact and lightweight as possible for handheld and gimbal use.

Is the DSMC Battery Belt Clip compatible with V-Mount battery?

It says compatible with RED Bricks.. but I only have a Dynacore V-Mount battery and wonders if RED Bricks are actually V-Mount..

Any other lightweight configuration suggestion are greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

I first tried to run a setup like that but the cable for the belt clip was too thick and would fight the motor every time. Probably better getting a free fly/wooden camera v mount side mount for the cam.

Ah.. thanks for the heads up! Maybe the belt is better suited for steadicam/glidecam configuration, which I will also use occasionally.

To answer your question, the belt is V lock.

Thank you Sean, really appreciate your reply. Now I can buy with confidence!
