I always instruct the AC to check the dropped frames indicator after every shot. Dropped frames will/can crash FCP (and can be disastrous in post). Sometimes we can not physically check (on a crane, for example) for dropped frames until we finish the shot and "check the gate". It would be great in Build 17 to have the indicator not automatically zero out after each shot but have to be manually reset.

I second that request

it would be cool when loading shots in rc/ra an indicator can show which clips have a dropped frame and where the dropped frames are located.

Is there any way using REDCINE or RED ALERT to tell if you had dropped frames?

Some kind of dropped frame indicator over the HD-SDI out would be very very nice.
Maybe just a small ! icon in the surroundview or something. But just something to warn you when on a crane or steadi, and the RED LCD is out of sight or not mounted.
