Dropped frames, I think....Multiple "versions" of the same clip?

Just got finished shooting a few interviews on the Scarlet Dragon, and when I look in the folder of the clip, there are several versions of the clip, same filename, sect there are incremental numbers at the end of the filename. I am new to the RED system, and don't really know how to recognize the dropped frames, but this is a red flag to me, and through scrubbing through in Cine X I don't see anything jumping. Also in CineX there is only one clip, while in premiere and finder is where I see the duplicated filenames.
My apologies if this is a noob question, but I'm a little new to the RED workflow, I'm loving what the images are looking like but this potential dropped frame issue is a bit disconcerting. I'm coming from a canon, arri, black magic and sony realm...
Can someone shed some light on this for me?
I'm currently exporting the clip in question in CineX to proRes to see if that has dropped frames evident in the playback, but I figured I stop here to get some info in the meantime. I have searched a bit in the forums and most of the responses regarding dropped frames, are that it doesn't happen...

thanks in advance for any assistance.

Cheers.

Hey Shane,

When a clip is over 2Gb, it gets split up into separate subclips.

Redcine-X recognizes this so only shows you one clip.

Premiere kinda recognizes this and shows you all the subclips, but each one plays back like the full span of all the subclips stitched together.

This is totally normal, don't worry about it.

In Premiere, just use the first subclip (ending in _001.r3d) and ignore the others.

Why do you think there are dropped frames?

Its actually 4GB.

Ahhhh, thanks, that makes perfect sense, I just assumed it might a drop frame due to what I have seen in a couple of cameras in the past, where if you do drop a frame the clip splits. Thanks for the clarity!
And such a good sensor, it continues to impress me.
Great to have a responsive and good community here too, I'm glad I finally picked a RED up. You guys rock.

Cheers.
