Dropped frame on Epic

Hi,
I have a dropped frame on Epic shooting 5k hd/25 fps/ lowest compression possible. The only accessories attached were: touch 5 and smallhd via hdmi. I always thought that dropped frame occurs on red drive of cf but not ssd. Already filed a ticket to support just wanted to know if anyone experienced that. I'm on 3.3.3., shooting with epic-m with canon mount ,powered with v-mount. After the scene with a dropped frame i kept an eye on every take andthere were no other dropped frames. Any help would be highly appreciated.

Hi Alex

Have you tried shuttling the footage frame by frame in your EPIC to see if the frame would play? It may be a situation where the camera would play the footage fine but RCX-PRO would not. If you can get it to play, then I would try copying the footage to a secondary system and see if it will play there. I have come across issues where frames are missing when played on some computers but those same frames are NOT missing when played on others.

Thanks for a reply, i just copied a file to external drive and exported to 1080 and a frame or more are still missing.

No, they do not play on the camera, that's actually how i noticed a problem

That happend to me once about 6 months ago. Couldn't figure it out either.. Never seen it happen again. Lets hope this is a once off for you.
