  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Drone Cinematography Buy or Rent

Your assumption that human error rate would go up with drones is wrong. Real full size aircraft are manufactured to a incredibly high standard. Todays camera UAV's on the other hand are for the most part made up of a bunch of Chinese mass produced components and assembled by people who have no idea of what they are doing. The hobbyist mentality is the biggest problem currently facing the camera UAV industry.
 
I think you are reading more into that statement than I intended. My point was, RIGHT NOW there are so many flying with limited experience, human error crash rates are very high, whether due to pilot error, building/set up error, poor battery management or a thousand other reasons. I agree that this will all improve in time.

You can improve the quality of the components and human error will still be the primary cause of accidents. Automobiles are incredibly reliable and human error is still is the root cause of almost all accidents. Just like not everyone has the tools/judgement to be a good driver, many won't be good pilots either.
