Drives on the Epic

Of course I know that the new media for the Epic is the SSD but do you still have the option of resorting to an existing hard drive if the situation arises? I.e is it worth me keeping an old red drive for emergencies?

There was once a thought of a drive adapter module but as far as I know it's all SSD from here.

Just go to the 256GB SSD in the store at red.com and you will see a note about the Red-Drive trade in deal. The note asks you to contact your bomb squad rep to get details. I left a message requesting details for my rep, Dan Baum, several days ago but never heard back from him. I believe the offer is only for the 256GB SSD and that the trade-in credit is the original price of the Red-Drive, if Jarred's initial thoughts on the topic hold fast.

Yep, only the 256. Just did it, shipped my drive to red for evaluation ( it has to work) and got a 256 back about a week later.
The trade in is for 1/2 the original price of the red drive, not the full price.
I'm so glad to not be shooting on drives anymore. I hated them. I love the ssd drives.

Mildly related... anyone know if you can use something like Drive Genius to verify / repair the sectors of a Red Raid? My 320GB still works flawlessly, but makes me nervous.
