Drive Cable - other options

Well the dog, love him, but he chewed the end off my drive cable and I only bought one. Just ordered two. Never mind, just checked all the other connectors, not even close. So the last question would be, can I record to the drive via firewire from the camera itself?

Other option is, does someone have an extra cable they could FedEx today for Friday delivery. If so PM me and we can work out payment details. As Red is closed to Friday, so earliest I will see a cable is Monday

No you can not record to Drive with Firewire .

Although based in London - I frequently shoot in Dubai - If you need a RED drive cable - try Nick Davidson at Alchemy Films in Dubai Media City.

Drive cable came on Sat, they set it up for quick turn around. Currently back on Cape Cod, do not hit Dubai for 2 weeks yet, then back into Kabul for a couple of months.
