  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Ok, time to fess up. How many of you have had actual dreams about owning any of the unreleased RED products?

I dreamt last night that I was shooting around town with my brand new 2/3rds fixed Scarlet. It was awesome and I was very disappointed when I woke up.

I can't be the only one whose dreams have been invaded by RED.

Yes, it is interesting that things only a therapist could get you to share are coming out here...... I feel like a bartender or psychiatrist. Where do I send a bill for listening? :smile5:
 
I actually had a dream about a month ago, and the sad part was that in my dream, people were shooting with it, and I could go to the local camera store to play with it, but alas, it was to expensive and I could not afford it- it was kind of a nightmare more so then a dream

I was very close to buying a 7D but the resolution charts I saw made me sad. Yeah, most definitely a step up from HDV though. Interlacing FTL.
 
I dream a lot about the scarlet specially know i am fed up with my crappy Canon XL h1a (noise, noise and breaking down)
And it is twice expensive as basic scarlet (subject to change ofcause:tongue_smilie:) Even if red makes half the promises they made
it is gone be a kick ass camera!!

It was weird, I was part of this team that was doing beta testing on it, it looked silver, wasn't as big as I remembered it, and then all of the sudden I am in this helicopter sequence filming barrel rolls through the grand canyon. It was awesome. And I really did have this dream.

I don't need a resolution chart to see the aliasing/moire effect on my 7D... They are pretty obvious.

However, it keeps me busy while waiting for Scarlet. In web res it has a definite wow factor.
 
Shot Epic in a dream once. Seriously. I was really impressed with the size weight compared to the RED ONE. Shoot went smooth.

Hi I'm new to this post and I wont bore you to much about a year ago was in the

apple store in my town when I started to mess with the net I'm all ways looking at

craig list and I dont remember how I came about Red.com

and When I read what it said I said out loud ITS ALL OVER.

My Wife and friends know that when I say this I'm hardly ever wrong

this is a victory cry for me.

I Was going to buy RED. and then the Video company I worked for went down

do to the owners loosing large contracts do to every ones favorite wornd economy.

now I found Scarlet and I want to know when is it coming out and where in california

is going to premere.

Marco, no one knows, it's been in development for like 2 years. On November 30 there is going to be an annoucment on reduser about the possible release date and its specs. It's probable that RED will only release it through their online store. But again, we'll all hopefully find out on the 30th about this.
 
Last night I finally had a dream of the Scarlet. I showed up on this street to shoot a documentary of this well known cable news personality. I had to follow him around shooting. When I pressed the record button I can feel the button spinning at my finger tip and the camera was making a motor sound that you can hear. I pulled out the CF card and it said 16gig. I told someone that it cost $500.

I guess you can say my Scarlet didn't work too well and the cost was a bit high...
