Shot Dragon for the first time today, quick and dirty test. So I locked off the sticks, framed something on our table top set, and just rolled a quick roll on every setting (black balanced at 2k, did not want to take the time to black balance every time I changed resolution since this was meant to be a fast little test of sorts). So far I just put the full frame ones up, but I can do all of them if you guys want WS and HD stuff too, I just rolled a quick roll on each setting to just show how the field of view changes from 6k to 2k using the old style larger 1.8 mags so that is why the compression isn't as low as the mini mags are.
I left the lens wide open, didn't touch a thing other then resolution settings... You may notice a cart on the bottom left of a shot, that was moved by the director but for the most part I wanted to keep everything apples to apples and I don't think its included in these shots, but one of the WS or HD shots had it in and then out, so thats why I didn't include it...
Anyway if anyone has any tests to suggest I can try and roll something for you as far as table top goes. I am going to grab a different Nikon lens and do some cool table top stuff probably tomorrow as far as motion stuff goes. Probably some over cranks might be included!
So basically the image is a glass and a Scarlet and the background of our table top set at my local studio...Nothing fancy yet but I am hopeful to get something more substantial tomorrow, today was just a mess around a little day/hang out with the director I hadn't seen for a while... Thanks!
PS new fan is amazingly quiet! Director and I were both amazed at that! I am amazed that even with it clipping on the blacks that it still retains so much information and looks so good! For run and gun shooters like me, guys who don't use light kits Dragon will be a dream and give me much more of fighting chance for my run and gun nonsense kind of action/nature shots. Def an amazing camera and I cannot wait to grab some different lenses to test it with!
PSS can a mod fix my typo in the title? my excitement got the best of me haha
