Just received my upgraded Epic Dragon today and wanted to share my thoughts after some quick informal test shots:

Something amazing about the new STH OLPF and DC2 colour science, colours seem to have better 'separation' and have a pleasing 'life' about them without looking electronic.

LLO OLPF Skin tones still look very acceptable to me.

It may be my imagination but shooting 4K seems cleaner than previously ?

Better RAW compression options on my older style REDMAGS than I thought would be the available to me at 5K.

Black shades are taking just 4 minutes - a fantastic improvement - especially with the four memory slots on the camera to store them. I have them set for 25/50/75/100 fps.

Camera takes less than 10 minutes to get fully up to operational temperature - which is great as I understand the camera needs to reach stable operating temperature for cleanest images.

Very clean image coming out of the STH OLPF at 320 ISO.

Quickly shot some 1280 ISO on LLO and very pleased with the more organic texture.

Camera takes 25 seconds to boot up which is longer than the EPIC-X but manageable for me.

All in all it's a very impressive upgrade !

I've also recently upgraded to Epic Dragon coming from Scarlet-MX:

So far very satisfied with this camera. Shooting daylight exterior with STH OLPF I've been getting amazing results. I've got an LLO OLPF on order as well, and looking forward to seeing how it performs on low light interiors and night exterior. I feel like the results I've been getting with the STH OLPF so far are a bit noisy in those situations.

Black shading times are fairly fast, but the boot up and warm up times can be a bit annoying.

I've been using MiniMags and the compression rates you can record at are great, even at 6k. Offloading data off the mags onto my PC is also much faster than the older RedMags.

Also, my Epic Dragon with the new style fans is MUCH quieter than my old Scarlet-MX was!
