[DISCLAIMER] I don't have permission to post any footage. This is purely anecdotal.
One of the fun things we do on the first day of REDUCATION is send the students out with the camera with minimal instruction and then throw their footage up on a 4k projector to show them how easy it really is to shoot with.
This week one lucky group got to shoot with the carbon fiber Dragon. We put the REDMAG in the reader and hit play. We were all expecting to see differences in resolution, dynamic range, low light capabilities, etc. As soon the RAW, untouched images hit the screen a lot of us gasped. The skin tones. So rich and vibrant. Even in the shots outdoors in super bright sunlight. We all know how to take that bleached skin look on the MX and get something beautiful with a few tweaks here and there. On the Dragon, out of the camera, the skin was just luminous, rich and perfect in every single shot.
Skin tones aren't scientific, you can't really talk about it in numbers. I think as more and more Dragons hit the streets this will end up being one of the things people notice most. And this is using the old MX color science. I can't imagine what Dragon Color is going to look like.
