Dragon Promo Short Film

I am puzzled why the REDucation Instructors aren't given the opportunity to develop and shoot a promo film for Dragon. In them you have some of the most talented and dedicated professionals in the business who have also worked years for that opportunity. They would know how to push the beast to it's limits but also be supportive and professional in the process.

All the Dragon footage we've seen so far has been shot with what are essentially prototype camera's. Jarred posted just the other day that they've had a major improvement in what they've been able to get out of the new Dragon sensors, and that anyone with a Dragonized camera will have to send it back to base to be updated. So, I doubt we'll see any official Dragon footage from RED until they've got the camera's closer to outputting their full potential, which shouldn't be long now. In the meantime there's already quite a bit of officially sanctioned but informal footage and imagery out there now from several talented REDusers that can be seen as a kind of sneak preview of what to expect from the final product.

watch the jay z video or the lady gaga video. Essentially looks identical to MX when lit properly. It just gives you a little more options if you have no tools on set to get an ideal look.

Luck would have it that in less than a month the REDucation Instructors are gathering at RED Studios for another of their amazing sessions. I've been to a couple of these and they are always worth the investment. Would be cool to have them come in a couple days early and knock out a well crafted, technically challenging Dragon Promo film. I would pay double tuition to be a part of that crew and event. Bet there is a short story script floating around in RU land that needs to be produced and seen. RED Dream Team!
