at least 36mm x 18mm sensor size, preferably 36mm x 24mm
replacable OLPF (similar to Panavision cameras)

id like my dragon attached to a sensor module, .. so sensors can get updated more than once per camera iteration

global shutter, sensitivity and full frame are no-brainers

id like a sensor so sensitive i have to leave the lens cap on to prevent clipping in the day.. and some VHQ built-in ND filters

Pretty much what I thought the polls would say for #1. The fact is most of us want exceptional low light performance.

+1 for Global Shutter... me really likes the sound of that one!! :)

Seriously you are asking why I want a physically bigger sensor over pixel size?
For the same reason why IMAX is better than S35, and S35 is better than16mm and 16 mm is better than 8mm film.
If my iPhone would shoot 10k it would not be better that my Scarlet shooting 4k!

I crave a large format motion camera. I want a sensor as big as 360x190 mm.
Thats what is a real vision, the rest is all dreams and dreams are for people that are asleep.

Hahahaha.
I sleep well...

I follow your thinking to a certain degree. A 4:3 FF 35mm sensor would probably do it for me.
Medium format sounds cool, too.

But I am not following the "bigger is better" thing indefinitely.
And I am not sure I think IMAX is "better" than 8mm.
To me they are "different"

There are many forms of expressions....

Hate the iPhone cam, though... Still I know a person who does amazing work on an iPhone4...

S35 ish is good enough for me.
Better highlight rolloff and DR is the key.

Sure I would not mind a 645 format Epic. But not as a replacement for the S-35 epic. FF-35 I could not care less about...
