As I posted on my other Dragon M8 Challenge USA Thread... The map below (with an added icon lol) shows my Driving trip back form Barcelona to Venice, which I completed today, and am now in Venice with DRAGON M8... ;)

We'll try and shoot a Short Film based on Venetian Carnival, in Venice and a Fashion Film in Milan as well as capturing some additional imagery there and in the Snow Mountains north of Italy.

I decided to do this before I move back to the US, because I received several emails, and in order to give also my fellow Italian Reduser a chance to also see touch and participate on a DRAGON M8 shoot, I have delayed the trip back to the US by couple of weeks, so that my Italian fellow Reduser, while they wait for their own Dragon and or reflect on the validity of the upgrade, can too see the amazing image quality and performance of this new camera especially when coupled with the Motion Mount, and hopefully I'll make their day a little more colorful and their Dragon upgrade decision easier to make, and cost more justifiable... As well as give those that already are waiting for the Dragon call, a little "LIFE" sneak preview of what is to come.

So, here you go... Welcome to just join me in the DAGON M8 shoots, and or, if you have something truly cool you like to share or to have DRAGON M8 shoot it, speak up and let's see if we can make it happen!!

Nothing special these days ... the serious stuff starts in May.

BUT if you come to Verona you're welcome! the city is beautiful.
(there is always something to shoot)

Incontrarti sarebbe un onore :-)

I will not have time to travel around much Luca, and mainly really just want to do this few Dragon shoots in Italy before leaving for good for the US, but if I end up in Verona, I'll let you know for sure, and goes without saying that you would be a most welcome collaborator or simply a guess at any of the shoots.

Ti ringrazio, e sarebbe un vero piacere conoscerti!

Ketch! Sei passato da Genova e non mi hai chiamato! Adesso piango :-)

Hope to see you soon, mate. Let's keep in touch, Corrado.

Sorry to every one... I got all your communications, just that I am finally getting better, and killing the Bronchitis I got in Barcelona few weeks ago... Thanks to a heavy load of Antibiotics... :(

We should start filming our first Piece in Venice next week... Venice, The Canal Grande, Some Gondolas, Some Medieval Venetian Masks, Some Beautiful Ladies... And some cool Gear, DRAGON M8, Schneider Xenon Lenses, TROST Slider, Kessler Crane Pocket Jib Pro, Bright Tangerine Viv Matte-Box and few more toys!

It should be a fun few days shoot!!

Look forward to see some of those that have communicated with me there... ;)

Ketch, se passi da Milano fatti offrire un caffè!!

Grazie Alvise!!

CineDrive and Movi at your service just across the border :)

Thanks Uros!!

I was supposed to receive a Gimbal unit form one of the Corporate Sponsors, but since we haven't receive a unit yet, it actually could have been very nice to have your Gimbal as it would surely come handy in the walk around shoots around Venice and on the Gondolas, as well as on the staircase scenes as the Masks are followed up and down.

Wish you were closer since we are just topped out on budget.

Good Luck Ketch, Venezzia must be a perfect playground for the Dragon... looking forward to your work! Enjoy!

Ivan

Thanks Ivan!!

And yes, Venezia does indeed present a chance to capture some exceptional material with DRAGON... ;)

Since we'll be shooting an array of scenarios form early morning, with Establishing shots of the city to mid day sunny approaching Italian Spring, and to sundown and well in to the night, were all we can carry will be the Area 48 Soft LED on hand Battery powered as we follow our Masked Subjects in to the super narrow streets and alleys of Venice.

Then there will be the insane variety of textures, also from the masks, with their crazy colors, and to the actual construction materials the city was built with thousands of year ago... Can't wait...

Oh... And there will be a little skin in there too... Just a little... ;)

I envy you a little... just a little ;-) did you think going to Murano to shot those traditional glass factories? always wanted to go there... :-)

Ha ha... I actually envy myself at times... But only at times... ;)

Definitely looking to see if I can make that happen before I come back to the states for good, but also have a Fashion shoot in Milan, and a Snow shoot in the Italian Mountains, so not sure I'll make it, but I'll sure try hard, as the Murano glass blowing factory is insanely attractive to shoot at, and those Vulcano like cooking pots and Ovens are great material for Dragon HDR as well, never mind capturing in such detail those guys creating Art form melted Glass.

Ketch, have fun.
I'm actually born in that beautiful time.
Please, don't forget to give me a shout in Milan. I need to see your Area48 fixture and offer you a coffee/cappuccino. Maybe I can help in your shoot here if i'm not booked already.
Cheers
Alvise
