Well my Dragon has finally arrived here up in Keith. Overall about a 4 week turn around for our Epic upgrade.
Last two years has been crazy, we got a Scarlet to do some filming ( medically and for our little media production side business).
Then i upgraded to the Epic, as i was filming a lot of martial arts pieces ( i am a life long martial artist and kickboxer ) and that went well, extremely well. Higher Frame rates where awesome.
We relocated from way up north in Scotland to here in Keith last September and i left medicine to continue on with filming and VFX and it went well, wife took over new medical practice.
Today we received the upgrade to Dragon and as sods law we have had power cuts in the area and constant thunder and rain, so as soon as weather breaks ill be out with the Dragon.
I need to mention that Red Europe are as usual awesome, as is bomb squad member Sam Measure. He patiently dealt my child like " Is it there yet"
queries.
I know my 9 year old son Nathan has been as impatient as i have been for the upgrade, and i am pretty sure when gets in from school he will want to film with it.
So far good day, and now sitting patiently awaiting delivery of 4k monitor.
