DRAGON and Contax Zeiss

Had the wonderful pleasure today of testing all of my Contax lenses on the 6k Beast. Met up with Ivan Agerton and performed some tests first on the Zeiss superspeeds with the 9 blade iris. Then we put on the Contax lenses made up of this these....
25mm 2.8
35mm 1.4
50mm 1.4
85mm 1.4
100mm 2.0
100mm macro 2.8
180 2.8

Also tested
Sigma 18-35 1.8
Tokina 11-16 2.8

I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THAT THIS WAS NOT A TEST TO SEE ANYTHING ABOUT COLOR OF DRAGON, RES, ETC. THIS WAS STRICTLY A TEST TO SEE IF MY LENSES WOULD COVER AND WHERE VIGNETTING AND SHARPNESS HAPPEN. THERE IS MIXED LIGHT TEMPS AND OTHER STUPID CRAP. SO PLEASE DONT JUDGE THE CAMERA BECAUSE ALL THE SILLINESS WAS ON ME. I TRIED TO GET MYSELF IN FOCUS BUT COULDN'T NAIL IT ON EVERY TAKE, SO SORRY A COUPLE ARE SOFT.


The Contax out performed the superspeeds and each one of them covered edge to edge which is amazing. the sigma was useable from 20.5mm to 35mm, and the tokina was useable from 14-16mm. Ill be posting some test images tomorrow to show how it handled. One thing I will say is we did not black shade first so there will be a bit of noise I'm sure. All in all great great lenses and I'm super happy that I held on to them.

The rest. Overall very happy with what I saw from the super quick test. Cant wait to get it out and actually shoot something with it and see how they perform with all cylinders firing and all the goodness dialed in.

The contax look great, but I'm surpised by the completely blown out windows in the close ups of you.

It was near 2.0 so makes sense and those windows were all sunlight coming from behind me.

This is likely a grading choice, not a sensor limitation.

yea the window I sat in front of was all backlit and we exposed for the face not the background. I does have noticeably better latitude than mx.
