DPs & operators - Is a 7" on board monitor too large for your AC?

Hey guys,

I work as a 1st AC. Depending on the production, every now and then they won't spring for an on board monitor or they're just willing to pay me a small kit fee if I bring my own.

With that said, the new 7" monitors from SmallHD look really nice. Would you operators/DP's out there mind having a 7" monitor on the camera? Is it too large? Would you prefer for your AC to use a standard 5.6" monitor?

I would be fine with a seven inch monitor. In fact I used to use one on a digi betacam all the time. As long as your mount is okay it should be no issue.

i would prefer a 5.6 tv logic, seems to be the manageable size, especially once off a tripod.
