  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Downscale 2560x1600 DVI to HD

Hi, the 2560x1600 DVI signal will be coming from a nVidia Quadro 6000 graphics card, feeding an F35 projector. Since the Quadro card only has 2 active outputs (one for video output and one for the GUI), I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to convert the 2560x1600 video output signal to HD to feed a waveform/vectorscope at the same time.

I found this matrix switcher: http://www.blackdiamondvideo.com/products/sxps/, that seems to be capable of handling output scaling but at USD$15,000 (aprox.) it's a bit pricey.

Any ideas?

Thanks for your help!

Nothing comes to mind as a sure fire solution, but some ideas pop up.

Not sure how friendly Quadro drivers would be on this, but would it be possible to have another Nvidia card in the system in a lower resolution mirror mode ?

Hardware wise I'm not seeing much, since most hardware accelerated systems toend to be locked to certain resolutions. Your projector is using above average resolution and a non 16:9 ratio which makes it even trickier. AJA cards seem to only go to 2048. Seems like doing it on the output side might be the most controllable solution.

Good luck !
And that is a nice looking projector.

The dual GPU cards option could be the way to do it if the drivers support it. I'll look into that option.

And yes, that projector is indeed very nice, 2.5K DLP, fully DCI compliant, all for aprox $30K including lens!

Thanks for your help.
