Downloading CF Cards.

This is a very basic question. I've been a media wrangler on a few Red shoots but we have always used the Red drives.

Are there any issues or tricks/techniques one should be concerned with when wrangling from CF cards?

Pretty basic really, but MOST IMPORTANT. Check the footage after its off loaded to the drives to MAKE SURE you have it BEFORE re-formatting the cards. Especially if the Card supply is limited. I know Brook WIllard the DIT for SOUTHLAND is not allowed to erase cards for 2 days after the shoot for safety. Thats the extreme.
