Dovetail in back order?

When receiving my kit, the dovetail for the basic production pack was missing. Do you know if it's in back order?

In the "Your RED ONE is nearly ready to ship" email blast you got from RED, we do state on there what is currently in limited quantities / backorder. DOVETAILS are one of those but we are already fulfilling that backorder in order of reservation number, so it should not be a huge lagtime before you get your DOVETAIL, Jonas.

My camera is basically a sitting duck. What are the chances of the both plates being back ordered? ET was suppose to begin shipping (yesterday) Monday and emailed to confirm. Unfortunately its been pushed till Thursday. Let's hope there isn't another delay!

Well, my camera (#1008) was delivered during the 2nd week of March and the back-ordered dovetail arrived last week...to offer up a point of reference. I think they are moving faster now. #1008 was in that weird in-between stage when they were diagnosing some QC issues and fixing them, but they appear to be fixed and catching up on some of the things that had fallen too far behind.

Now if only that 50-150mm lens would magically appear on my doorstep, like the dovetail....where o where is it, I'm sure it misses me.

not complaining, I know they are BO'd, just sayin'.

But the question is, do you have your base plate? I think most people can live without the dovetail. However, the base plate is needed for most setups because of balancing and bottom rods.

nope. baseplate and shouder mount are MIA.

Edit: actually i do have the baseplate, sorry, but can't use it till the dovetail comes in since i did not order cheeseplate.

I was going to order arri style base but i think that is bo'd as well so...

It was missing on my order too. The bottom plates, shoulder dove tails, 24" rods and the Arri 19mm base plate.
I can't say that Red are good in order and shipping. i hope the image is better.
But every time I am saying a word about that there are like 20 sarcastic user who responds. I still stick to my opinion that something in the way from the web site Red store, which is total contempt (no sufficient images and descriptions) all the way to customer hands is not right.
I can't say they are not trying to solve this but still.

Without the base plate the camera is very limited as far as mounting it, maybe on the shoulder but then you miss the EVF... so what is the point, we got a camera but I still need to keep it in the box. Don't want the "other guys", and boy there are some people who are against the Red, to give them excuses not to work with it.
so far a rental house here has more booking and then cancellation that any other cameras. His sony 900R, 970, 450, Panasonic HPX 500, HVX 200 are all working almost every day but the Red is only being tested and this not because of the missing items but because of the post workflow which is more complicated and expensive so producer prefer to have one bird in hand than two on the tree.

Just got tracking numbers for the dovetail and bottom plate. They'll be here on Tuesday. Hoover mentioned that they got a ton in and are working to catch up on all the backorders very soon.
