Don McAlpine DOP - Scarlet Inspire Thread

[Justin Batchelor]

To all the Scarlet users out there, pressing for bigger things and bolder futures (like me), this is for you. Don McAlpine is an award winning Australian DOP and American Cinematographer of the year recipient with a CV that ranks in the gods.

We're all wanting to do big things, and watching this man's story, from his beginnings in 8 and 16mm many moons ago through 35mm and into digital, its a great cinema doco.

It may not work for everyone due to international restrictions, but search it out, you'll be happy that you did.

Just watched the trailer. Looks really interesting! Unfortunately I can't watch it. I googled a bit, but didn't find any other link to it. Proxies don't work either. Any ideas?
I really love those portraits about filmmakers. The one about Jack Cardiff was fantastic also. Hopefully they'll do one on Roger Deakins in the future...
