I'm looking for anyone who has had actual hands-on experience with GL Optics' Zeiss ZE cine mods. Their specs sound extremely interesting, but I haven't found any feedback, or even a mention, from owners/users. Very hard to judge workmanship, design, build quality and customer service from the few online resources... Does anyone outside of china actually know about these? Any info would be welcome! Thanks!

We have a GL Optics 11 16mm converted lens which is good quality. He's a good seller who stands behind his products. I don't know the Cinemod lenses specificaly.

I think we can expect lensing to really pick up this year at NAB. More rehousing is going on than ever before and it looks like GL is not just creating a shell, but lengthening focus throw as well. This is terrific.

I have had two 11-16, the first had a flaw and the focus ring slept. Nan took it back and send me a new one in a week. It's a nice lens.
A friend of mine also bought the Contax rehousing, and they are good quality, not Duclos but good. They are heavy though.

Nan answer every email, and is always communicating about new products.

From the responses, there doesn't seem to be anyone out there who has a set of the ZE Cine Mods? There seem to be more than a few 11-16s floating around and I haven't read anything bad about them, but no one with a set of primes??? How long have they been around?
