Does an adapter exist to connect 77mm lenses with the RED PRO Matte Box?

Hello RED Users!

This is my first post so I hope I'm posting in the right place.

I own the RED Pro, 2-stage, clip on matte box. I have an upcoming shoot on a Ronin, I'm trying to keep the weight down so I don't want to attach the matte box with rails. I know RED doesn't sell an adapter to clip onto a 77mm lens and the director is bringing on Rokinon Cine DS Lenses. Does anyone know of an offbrand adapter option to clip on?

Thanks!

I bought a screw on 77mm aluminum lens hood. I use it for that reason. When i want to run my misfit atom, I just clamp it on the lens hood.

Cordvision 80mm O/D step-up rings work well: http://cordvision.com/product/77mm-cine-ring-80mm-od/.

Be careful with clip-on matte boxes - many brands that accept 2 or more 4x5.65 filters can be too heavy for delicate helical focus lenses like Rokinons or Zeiss Super Speeds, causing the focus ring to bind. An ultra lightweight matte box like the Bright Tangerine Misfit Atom or a rod-based matte box may work with those lenses better. The simplest solution would probably be to use screw-in filters instead of the matte box. Worst case, you can always use 2" gaff tape to secure the filter to the lens.
