Ok..So we are testing for our upcoming documentary and come to this kind of workflow. Our delevery is to DVD NTSC, but we want to keep a good quality mov for other deliverance
We are shooting 4K 16:9 24fps.
The sequence in FC is 2K 16:9 (1920 x 1080) Apple ProRess 24fps. Working in field with proxies making a first off line, then Log and Trasfer with and XML, the l&t are sent it to Color for Grading.
Then send the final .MOV ProRess to Shake to fit it in a 640 x 360 and a pulldow to 29,97. This File is a ProRess
The Shake .mov ProRess is then send it to Compressor for a mpg2 with CinemaCraft Codect (90 pases and 9000 Bitrate) and a DVD BestQuality codec(just for the ac3).
The mpg2 and the ac3 is sent it to DVD Studio.
DVD is Burnt
Any suggestions, we are still testing, so any ideas will come handly?
Is necesary the pulldown knowing than some DVDs do it by himselfs?
We wanted to work with 2:1 but we face so much trouble. Especialy went send it to 4:3 (640 x 480) DVD.
Thanks for your time.
Regards.
