Do you charge more for an M-X camera?

After your upgrade, do you charge more for the daily rentals or keep it the same as simply the cost to do business ( and keeping up with the Jones)?

Jeff, as much as I think we deserve to charge more...general consensus is it's the cost of doing business (IMHO). Having said that, my Red has never been busier than after the MX upgrade last June.
I think it really boils down to your market and whether it mostly goes out on single day jobs or low budget features at 1.5 or 2 day weeks

We charge the same since the upgrade. We actually added the Primes as part of our package and still kept the price the same. We're not a rental house, though. It works for us as we have to keep adding to the package rather than try to compete with rental houses as we send a tech/DIT out every time.

More when it first came out back in March April - same now - but as some have said, ours are always rented. I have not seen #103 since August

same price but it rents more since the upgrade. I'd say that the non-mx bodies probably dropped in rental price.

Guys who are charging a certain price for a Red locally will phone to rent my Red MX's and of course since it cost more and is better then it gets a higher premium.

Clients who wonder why the MX is more expensive understand when they see the lighting list and the footage. Only caveat here is those who are used to transcoding themselves using redrushes for offlines getting green rushes! Hard to explain it is an upgrade feature!

In Sydney I've found the prices are the same but MX will always get preference so I would say they are doing better through additional rentals/work.
