  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Do any of you run OSX and FCP on a PC computer?

I am in the middle of a feature and we were looking at dailies on a PC of all computers.
But this PC was running OSX and FCP

I was amazed.
It is tempting due to the fact that PC's can be made much cheaper than I can buy a Mac Pro tower.

So do any of you do this?
If you do do you have any problems running REDCINE?

Thanks

i don't myself but i know it is done. I have fiends here in Australia that have been dual booting FCP (OSX) + AVID (WIN) for years.

REDCINE runs on both WIN + MAC so i don't see a problem there.

you going to do it?

There is heaps of information online how to do it.

The legality is quite questionable, as Apple's terms on OS X are pretty specific.

And some things like drivers can be a hassle.

am i going to do it?
Im leaning towards getting my PC friends to do it.
It would open so many options on being able to transfer files back and fourth between them.

Thanks for the info guys.
