DNxHD 36 judders during playback

Hi

I'm converting 3K Red Footage to DNxHD 36 for offline editing. Some of the footage is shot at 50fps. It plays fine in the source window, but judders when you play it in full screen. I am using a MacBookPro with 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and the Avid Media Files are on Lacie using Firewire 800. Will this be related to the processor speed? If I use a tower with faster processor will this problem go away?

I haven't tried any non 24fps speeds yet myself to say for sure what this is. Are you in a 24p, 25p project type? 1080p?
